  • Yes! I typically see clients Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. I strive to maintain flexibility to accommodate busy schedules. We can discuss your schedule during your free initial phone consultation!

  • Yes! While I prefer to see clients in person as often as possible, I do have the capability to utilize a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform for online therapy when needed. My goal is to reduce barriers to your treatment and telehealth offers the possibility to maintain your appointments even when your schedule, illness, or weather prevents in person sessions. I am licensed to provide telehealth services if you are located anywhere in the state of Virginia!

  • I am not in network with insurance companies at this time. Many insurance companies provide some coverage for out of network providers and sometimes this rate is not significantly different from your in network copay or deductible. I will provide you a superbill (receipt of services) for you to submit to your insurance company. I encourage you to check your out of network benefits!

  • The No Surprises Act was created to protect consumers from unanticipated medical bills. All therapists are required to discuss the No Surprises Act with you verbally and provide you a written Good Faith Estimate (GFE) if you inform them that you are not planning to use your insurance benefits.   • In our initial session we will discuss what has brought you to therapy and possible goals for therapy. It’s ok if you don’t know exactly what your goals are because we will work together to identify the right treatment plan to fit your needs. You will find that I value taking the time to understand what you have been experiencing and how that has been affecting your mental health or well being. Together, we will discuss what your needs are, how we can work on them in sessions, and how often sessions should occur.

  • This can vary greatly between clients and depends completely on your specific circumstances, frequency of sessions, and your commitment to utilizing the skills and techniques we discuss in sessions.

  • My office is located in downtown Leesburg, directly across from the Town of Leesburg parking garage. Parking is convenient and free for the first two hours in the garage.

    There is a set of stairs leading up to my office so if you have mobility concerns. please notify me prior to your first appointment so we can identify alternatives such as telehealth or referrals to an alternate provider.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most empirically studied types of therapy. We will use CBT often in sessions in order to explore the connections between thoughts, emotions, and actions. Often if we are able to evaluate thought patterns and corresponding emotions and actions, we are able to quickly begin to work to reduce anxiety and depression symptoms and begin to work toward increasing your overall health and wellbeing.
